Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AdStuff collects from publishers, advertisers and visitors of websites that display our ads, why we collect it and what rights you have.

1.Who We Are

AdStuff is an advertising network operated by Connect Stuff, Tingietersweg 2, 2031 ES Haarlem, The Netherlands. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Connect Stuff is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy applies to (a) publishers and advertisers who use our website and panel, and (b) visitors of third-party websites and apps ("publisher properties") that display advertisements served by AdStuff.

2.Data We Collect From Publishers and Advertisers

  • Account data: name, company name, email address, password (stored hashed), messenger contact details.
  • Payment data: payout method details, wallet or account identifiers, billing address, tax information and identity verification documents where required.
  • Property data: websites, apps and traffic sources you register, and their categorization (mainstream or adult).
  • Usage data: login history, IP addresses, browser information and actions taken in the panel.
  • Communications: messages sent via our contact form, email or support channels.

3.Data We Collect From Visitors of Publisher Properties

When a visitor views a publisher property that contains AdStuff ad code, we and our advertising partners may collect:

  • IP address (which may be truncated for geolocation) and approximate location (country, region, city).
  • Browser and device information, such as user agent, operating system, screen resolution, language, time zone and installed fonts or capabilities.
  • Device fingerprints: a pseudonymous identifier derived from a combination of browser and device characteristics.
  • Cookie and local storage identifiers.
  • Ad interaction data: impressions, clicks, conversions, timestamps and the referring page URL.
  • Consent signals transmitted by the publisher's consent management platform.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data. Note that the mere fact of visiting an adult publisher property could reveal information about a visitor; we treat all visitor data as pseudonymous and do not attempt to identify visitors by name.

4.Cookies and Device Fingerprinting

We use cookies, local storage and device fingerprinting technologies to:

  • Deliver advertisements and apply frequency caps so visitors do not see the same ad too often.
  • Measure impressions, clicks and conversions and attribute them to the correct publisher and advertiser.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, bot traffic and invalid activity.
  • Target advertisements based on geolocation, device, operating system and browser.

Publishers are responsible for obtaining their visitors' consent for these technologies before AdStuff tags are loaded, where required by law. AdStuff relies on the consent collected by the publisher.

6.How We Share Data

  • Advertisers and demand partners, including real-time bidding partners, to deliver and measure advertisements.
  • Service providers such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, anti-fraud and payment processors, bound by data processing agreements.
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or network.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell publishers' account data. Some of our partners are located outside the European Economic Area; where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7.Data Retention

  • Publisher and advertiser account data: for the duration of the account and up to 7 years afterwards for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Visitor ad-serving and tracking data: up to 13 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
  • Fraud prevention records: for as long as necessary to protect our network, and no longer than 24 months unless required for ongoing investigations.

8.Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Visitors can withdraw consent through the consent tool on the publisher property, or by clearing cookies and local storage in their browser.

To exercise your rights, contact us at support@adstuff.io. Because visitor data is pseudonymous, we may need an identifier (such as a cookie ID) to locate it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.

9.Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10.Minors

Our services are not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors, and adult advertisements are only served on properties categorized as adult by publishers.

11.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to publishers via the panel or by email.
